The greenhouse is open on the weekends for public viewing. For a fee, visitors are welcome to explore the greenhouse and shop for cacti.

Queen Ann Cottage

If you’re in the area, don’t miss the Queen Anne Cottage and Coach Barn, two Victorian-style buildings. They’re on the grounds of the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia. They’re a must-see for history buffs and locals alike.

These old cabins feature white exterior walls and a classic Queen Anne style. Inside, they’re decorated in a sophisticated, yet simple manner. Denny’s Windmill

However, a new windmill has been attached to the building and a ceremony was held Friday night to reopen the windmill. It is intended to be operational around the clock.

The windmill in Arcadia, California, was originally built in 1967. In 1987, Denny’s purchased the land and proposed removing the windmill. However, the city council passed Ordinance No. 1858, which prohibited turning windmills. The windmill was shuttered after 1987 and reopened as a coffee shop.

Denny’s’ windmill was once considered a piece of local history, but in 1999, the restaurant’s plans to tear it down were met with a public outcry. After a public campaign, Denny’s changed their plans and restored the windmill. The windmill now has LED lights installed inside of it and is now open for business.

The restaurant is also home to a Van de Kamp windmill, which is unique in California. The structure has a unique mix of Dutch and Googie architecture. The round structure is topped by a folded-plate roof, which is reminiscent of the Dutch. Its trademark windmill is also visible from the highway.

It was a huge success, with more than thirty thousand visitors that day and a total of $258,916 wagered. During the early decades, the track’s attendance continued to rise, and by the 1960s, it was drawing more than seven thousand visitors per race.

Santa Anita Race Track is a great place to see thoroughbred horses, and you can even get up close and personal with them in the Paddock. You can also stop by the Clubhouse Areas to enjoy a drink while watching the races.

Santa Anita Race Track is one of the most popular places to visit in ARCADIA, California. Opened in 1934, this 320-acre facility boasts a grandstand decorated in Art Deco style. It also has a stabling area for up to 1,800 horses. The track is known as “The Great Race Place” and features a one-mile dirt track, seven-furlong Camino Real turf course, and hillside turf course.
